The gîtes Vallée des Elements

La Vallée des Elements is a more than 100-year-old farmhouse on the edge of the hamlet of Las, 3 km from the village of Chiddes. At 8 km is the beautiful town of Luzy with nice markets, shops and restaurants. The farm is next to the forest and in the middle of meadows, where the famous white 'Charolais' cows graze. Directly from the farm you can make beautiful walks and cycling trips.
For centuries, French families have farmed at Les Reprilles. Now this magical place has been given a new purpose; a comfortable holiday spot while preserving and respecting the atmosphere. It makes Domaine Les Reprilles a "hidden gem" in Burgundy. The unique and small-scale "boutique-like" experience that many people are looking for.

Each holiday home (gîte) is designed in the them of 1 of the natural elements. Each gîte has a fully-equipped kitchen including dishwasher, Nespresso Machine, fridge, oven or combined microwave and HD flat-screen TV. Free WIFI connection everywhere. Private terrace, great beds and rain shower in each gîte available.

Gîte Terre

This authentic gîte was formerly the farm house. The house has been completely renovated and the hidden characteristic elements have been brought back to their original state. The living room with open kitchen has a cosy wood-burning stove. Through the French doors you reach the private terrace, overlooking the valley. There are 2 large double bedrooms. An extra bed can be added on request. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and a sink. All rooms are on the ground floor. The surface area is about 75 m2.

This gîte based on the element EARTH is at ground level. All rooms and the bathroom are accessible from the ground floor. The earth element is visible in the natural terra colours and our guests often immediately experience the feeling of coming home in this house. Earth elementThe qualities of the earth element include 'home coming' and finding peace. Earth is the most grossly material and the most clearly visible element of all. It literally provides 'grounding' and a sense of security. As soon as you take a walk through our valley and see the cows with their paws in the mud, you literally land in this place. The element Earth ("aarde") relates to the adjective "kind". (In Dutch "aardig") Nice people often have a warm, secure loving and thoughtful character. Burgundian character is also important in the Earth element; our main food comes from the earth, and the beautiful wines made in this region are grown on well-maintained and fertile soil. The harvest season, in late summer, is linked to the element earth. Epicureans are more than welcome here!

Gîte Le Four

Gîte Feu used to be the bakery. Bread was baked here not only for its own family, but also for the families in the area. Now it is a comfortable, spacious and cosy flat. On the ground floor are the kitchen, the toilet and the living room with a cosy wood-burning stove. Through the French doors you reach the private terrace Upstairs is the bathroom with spacious shower and washbasin and 2 double bedrooms. An extra bed can be added on request. The surface area is about 80 m2.The gîte named after the element FIRE used to have a gigantic stone oven, this is still visible in the kitchen. The warm atmosphere of the gîte is partly created by the central position of the wood-burning stove in the living room and the warm ochre colour with details of fire red. In the garden, on the terrace, an extra fire pit has been created especially for this gîte so that it is also lovely to sit outside in the evening and roast marshmellows.

Element of FireThis element represents love, passion, desire, energy, playfulness and is associated with the season of Summer. Fire awakens the happy child in us. If you don't burn your fingers, you can play with fire quite a bit. It always seems to be dancing and therefore it is wonderful to stare into the fire. Not for nothing is the element fire also related to cooking, baking, creativity and manifestation. You can literally forge with fire and the element is transformative. Once something burns, it returns to the earth and makes the soil more fertile. Then - like a Phoenix rises from the fire - something new emerges in its place. Air fuels the element fire, where water balances fire. Do you feel like rekindling the fire? Then choose gîte Feu.

Gîte Lune & Soleil

Perhaps the most romantic house. Where the pigs used to live, a cosy flat has now been created. The entrance is covered and is a lovely place to enjoy the evening sun and the view of the moon over the valley. On the ground floor is the living room with cosy wood-burning stove and open kitchen and the toilet. French windows give access to the private terrace. Upstairs are the bathroom with shower and sink, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The area is about 57 m2.Sun & Moon

The gîte is decorated with elements of the sun and the moon. The sun cycle lasts 24 hours and represents male energy, or yang. The moon cycle lasts 28 days and is related to the feminine, the yin energy. In this cottage, the two find each other and we balance the sun and the moon.

Gite l'Air

This part of the farm used to house the horses. Now it is a comfortable and cosy flat that still breathes the atmosphere of yesteryear. On the ground floor are the spacious living room with cosy wood-burning stove and the open kitchen. Through the French doors you reach the private terrace overlooking the meadows. In the evening you can best see the orange-colored sunset in the bright blue sky from this cottage. Upstairs are the 2 double bedrooms and the bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The surface area is about 70 m2. The colors blue, white and airy lace alternate in this airy gîte. Even floating is possible in gîte l'Air. In the large hanging chair it seems as if you are literally sitting on clouds. Other elements such as hot-air balloon lamps were also created especially for this gîte. The gîte is located on the side of the farm, giving you extra breathing space and peace and quiet. On the terrace, you can swing romantically through the air on the swing set with your sweetheart or children.

Air elementThe element air is about breathing, filling your lungs with healthy outdoor air and relief. The element is linked to the season of autumn, the season of letting go. By breathing deeply, we let go and create new energy. In the information book of gîte l'Air, there is a breathing exercise to help you release stress more easily. Gite l'Eau

In the large barn, where first the farmer's tools were stored, gîte 'l'Eau has been built. From a once damp barn, a comfortable flat was built. The authentic details give it a warm atmosphere. Gîte l'Eau is well insulated and heated by electric radiators.On the ground floor are the spacious living room and the open kitchen. Through the garden doors you reach the private terrace, overlooking the meadows with cows and the orchard. On the first floor are 2 double bedrooms and the bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The surface area is about 65 m2.This cottage based on the element 'water' has a beautiful look with different shades of blue and green, giving extra depth. In the garden on the terrace is a plunge pool placed to refresh in hot weather and during cooler days to give some blood circulation. The information folder of this cottage contains some Wim Hof-related breathing exercises to prepare you properly for a cold water bath.

The Element of Water has the ability to be adaptive and move smoothly between obstacles. When water moves, it is vital and healthy, it 'flows'. If water stands still for too long, it becomes murky. Or it freezes. It is related to the season of winter. Water always looks for the deepest point in the earth. Silent waters simply have deep grounds. Water loves reflection and depth. So you can also see the water in your own body. We consist of about 70% water and the statement "I feel it in my water" is about feeling something. So the element water stimulates feeling. It balances and regulates emotions and releases through tears, which are salty, just like the sea. Our intuition and feelings are therefore linked to this element. And, just in case you think you feel relatively little now, take a quick dip in the cold water plunge pool.... ;)

Gite l'Ether

This is our beautiful penthouse above La Maison, suitable for 2-3 people. Gîte l'éther is a spacious open space with open kitchen and large dining table. A beautiful sleeping area and large sitting area. Everything has been newly renovated. The studio is a bit more modern, but with lots of wood elements, the beam construction and traditional brickwork is still visible. Gîte l'éther has beautiful views over the entire property. Accessible by stairs, so only suitable for people with good mobility. Downstairs is the private terrace. An extra bed for a third and possibly fourth person can be added on request. However, you will all sleep in the same room. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin. The surface area is about 75 m2.The tree visible on the wall represents the element of 'ether'; in Chinese doctrine, wood equals the element ether. From gîte l'éther you have a beautiful view over the valley. There is a stargazer to fully enjoy the beautiful night sky. There is hardly any light pollution on the Domaine so when the sky is clear it is unimaginably beautiful.

Element of EtherThis element is the most subtle of the five. In the West, we count only four elements but ancient Eastern philosophy has five elements. Ether represents the universe, space, the infinite. The element is about strategic insights and having a helicopter view. Great spiritual leaders are related to the ether element because of their deep ancient wisdom. In the information book of this cottage, there is a meditation exercise that creates more space in your mind.

The holiday homes are well insulated and are heated by a lovely wood-burning stove and electric radiators. Each gîte has its own private terrace, offering magnificent views over the countryside and the Morvan mountains. The terrace is equipped with tables and chairs, and shade cloths protect you from the sun's rays.
