This authentic gîte was formerly the farm house. The house has been completely renovated and the hidden characteristic elements have been brought back to their original state. The living room with open kitchen has a cosy wood-burning stove. Through the French doors you reach the private terrace, overlooking the valley. There are 2 large double bedrooms. An extra bed can be added on request. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and a sink. All rooms are on the ground floor. Earth element
The qualities of the earth element include 'home coming' and finding peace. Earth is the most grossly material and the most clearly visible element of all. It literally provides 'grounding' and a sense of security. As soon as you take a walk through our valley and see the cows with their paws in the mud, you literally land in this place. The element Earth ("aarde") relates to the adjective "kind". (In Dutch "aardig") Nice people often have a warm, secure loving and thoughtful character. Burgundian character is also important in the Earth element; our main food comes from the earth, and the beautiful wines made in this region are grown on well-maintained and fertile soil. The harvest season, in late summer, is linked to the element earth. Epicureans are more than welcome here!
